Moldavite is thought to have formed almost 15 million years ago in the impact event that produced the Ries and Steinheim craters in southeastern Germany. They hit with a high enough velocity to melt and splatter the target rock across a strewn field that includes portions of what is now the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany.
This rare and genuine Moldavite formed after it fell to Earth in the Czech Republic and is now wrapped in sterling silver wire.
Measuring approximately 3.5cm in length and 1cm wide, it comes with a FREE sterling silver chain, polishing cloth and free UK postage.
